After the birth of her first child in 2002, Luz Maria Barbeito longed for the classic tradition of her homeland country, Argentina, where mothers and grandmothers design and knit their children’s own clothing. Determined to carry on the richness and beauty of her heritage, she partnered with her mother in law, Graciela Barbeito, who passed to Luz her talent for design, incredible ability to knit, and passionate drive to succeed. Upon collaborative efforts with her family and utilization of her networking and marketing techniques, Luz launched Manos Argentinas in her local area. After a tedious interview and selection process, 200 artisan women stationed in manufacturing facilities in Buenos Aires and Posadas were given the task of bringing Luz’s and Graciela’s vision to life. Each piece in the collection is handcrafted and custom embroidered to order. Fine European yarns are woven to create knits that radiate elegance and comfort. Fine details such as hand-painted buttons and satin ribbon trim are elemental qualities that add a touch of opulence to each garment.

Waterloo Kids Waterlook Kids' online store was opened in November, 2006. Previously, we started making T-shirts in January, 2005 selling to our friends, friends of our friends...and so on.... We designed all the clothes offered on the site. You will not see them in a mall or store. We want you to have unique retro, vintage designs of cool rock bands, classic movies, cartoons, etc. with the exclusive Waterloo style.
